We plan water shutoffs around your day and keep them as short as we can. Once the new system is pressure-tested and in service, the access openings are ready for drywall patching. What is the difference between PEX and copper piping?

Copper is the traditional choice. It is durable and can last over 50 years, but it costs more and takes longer to install. PEX is a flexible plastic tubing that installs faster, costs less, and resists freezing and bursting better than rigid copper. We offer and price both, and the right answer depends on your home and budget.

Will you have to tear open all my walls?

No. Repiping requires access to the pipes, but we cut small, planned openings just large enough to route the new lines through the studs. That keeps the drywall repair afterward manageable.

How do I know if I have polybutylene pipes?

Look for gray plastic supply pipes, sometimes blue or black, often visible near the water heater or where lines enter the house. Homes built or replumbed from the late 1970s through the mid-1990s are the usual suspects. If you are not sure, we can identify the material during a visit.

Can you repipe part of the house instead of all of it?

Yes. Partial repiping makes sense during a kitchen or bath renovation, or when one section of pipe has failed while the rest is sound. We will tell you plainly which situation you are in after we see the system.
